Privacy policy
This policy covers assetgen (“we”, “us”) and AdvisorMatch, the site where people ask us to introduce them to a financial advisor. It explains what we collect when a firm applies to receive introductions, and when a person asks for one, and what we do with it.
What we collect
If you ask for an introduction: your first name, the state and ZIP code you live in, your age range, the range of your investable assets, your goals and timeline, and then, once you have seen the advisor we matched you with, your last name, email address and mobile number. We also record your IP address, browser details, the time you spent on the form and the page you came from, which we use to detect automated submissions.
If you book a meeting: the time you chose, your time zone, whether you rescheduled or cancelled, and your answer to our short check-in after the meeting.
If a firm applies to join: the firm’s name, website, registration (CRD) number, the states its advisors are licensed in, and the contact details of the person applying.
We do not collect account numbers, Social Security numbers or other financial account details, and we never ask for them.
How we use it
We use your details to match you with one financial advisor licensed in your state, to show that advisor’s name and firm to you before you share anything, and, once you agree, to pass your details to that advisor so they can contact you. We send you a confirmation and reminders for any meeting you book, and ask afterwards whether it took place.
We use the technical details we collect to prevent fraud and abuse, to keep our service working, and to understand how people use it in aggregate.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advisors other than the one you agreed to be introduced to.
Text messages and email
By giving us your mobile number and ticking the consent box, you agree that we and the advisor you chose may contact you by call or text, including with automated technology, about your request. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or use the link in any email. We only send texts between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. your local time.
How long we keep it
If you never book a meeting, we delete your contact details 24 months after your request. We keep a record of the consent you gave, including the text you agreed to and when, for five years, because the law requires us to be able to show it. Records of meetings and payments between us and advisory firms are kept for as long as our business records require.
How we protect it
Your contact details are encrypted before they are stored and decrypted only when needed to serve you. Access to our systems requires two-step sign-in, and every change to sensitive records is logged. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.
Your choices
You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw your consent to be contacted at any time. Email us at admin@vantagecrm.co. If you are a California resident, you have these rights under the CCPA and we will not treat you differently for using them. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of in that respect.
Our service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we delete it.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date above and, where we have your email address, tell you. Questions and requests: admin@vantagecrm.co.
